Khao Wang or Phra Nakorn Khiri Historical Park

Khao Wang or Phra Nakorn Khiri Historical Park is located in Phetchaburi province, 40 kilometers from the resort. Khao Wang was built on Samana Mountain and was King Rama IV's holiday resort in 1860 in neo-classical style. There are a number of royal houses, temples, halls and an observatory where the King Rama IV used to view the stars. Visitors can reach the palace by walking or by electric tram.
